Nusfjord is surrounded by mountains and stony crags. In the old days (they have pictures in the tran (fish oil) museum, every single bit of space on these hills was covered with cod drying racks, like we've seen earlier elsewhere. They estimated in one photo that there were I believe 400,000 cod drying. That's a lot of cod. Now they mostly process tourists though.
