Day 2 – South Matheu Lake to Small Lake, East Sid of South Sister

Day 2 - My first real backpacking day, going around the east side of 3 Sisters, most of the day was going through the 2012 Pole Creek fire burn area, about 10 miles of it. Just when I was getting really tired, I came to a lake, small, with nobody there, and just after I pitched my tent, and got my bear bag hung, it started hailing and raining, really hard. You can see the hail stones from inside my tent towards the end of the gallery.
Route: South Matheu Lake trail 4062 to trail 4068 to trail 4070 South, past trail 4074. Stopped a few miles before trail intersection with trail 4075.
